THE TATTOOS WERE BAD ENOUGH (2022) is an 8 minute comedy with 3 characters (2F, 1M) set in the world of amdram.

“Can you imagine going into work the day after you’ve appeared on TV’s NAKED ATTRACTION? If you think that’s tough, then try and imagine going for a costume fitting for a character you’re playing in your local amdram group’s production of Blithe Spirit…”

THE TATTOOS WERE BAD ENOUGH... was one of the 16 winning plays in Ilkley Playhouse's Once In A Blue Moon 2022 playwriting competition and was published by them (along with the 15 other plays) on 12 December 2022. It was premiered by The Woodlands Drama Group in their Fringe Show on 13/14 July 2023 in Harrogate, Yorkshire. The play has subsequently been longlisted for THE PINT-SIZED PLAYS 2023 PLAY WRITING FESTIVAL and shortlisted for SHORT+SWEET YORKSHIRE 2024. It was most recently performed by the Syston QT Theatre Group in Leicester on 26-29 November 2024.
