"displaying the warmest affection for Bowie and old vinyl". DAILY ECHO
LAURA (2016) is a 15 minute play with 3 characters (1F, 2M) in which "a chance discovery in a second-hand record store reveals the truth about a lost love".
The play was selected for and premiered as one of the ten winning plays in the 10x10 David Bowie themed New Writing Festival at the Chesil Theatre on 8/9 October 2016 in Winchester. It was subsequently performed by the Navan Theatre Group in County Meath, Ireland on 1 & 2 June 2017 and the Trim Drama Group, also from County Meath, on 20/22 April 2018. Most recently the Sundowner Drama Group took out a licence to make a video of the play in 2020. As well as being published in its own right, LAURA has also been published as part of a collection of six of the 10x10 winning David Bowie plays. The collection is called Stardust.
