BACIATO DALLA GRAZIA (2009) is a 5 minute play with 4 characters (2F, 2M) in which a teenage boy, painfully shy around girls, gets some useful advice from his cool friend to help him talk to a girl. It's been published as an individual play and also as part of a collection of short plays for teenagers entitled EMOTIONS 2, a follow up to the highly successful EMOTIONS. BACIATO DALLA GRAZIA has proved very popular all over the world with a premiere in Denmark in September 2010 followed by subsequent productions in various countries including the UK, China, Australia, Germany, and the USA. It was most recently performed at a college in Australia in July 2017.
Jonathan wrote a revised version of BACIATO DALLA GRAZIA in early 2025 with the roles of the male and female characters reversed. The new version also features a pickleball match, rather than a tennis match and is called SILVER SPOON. The original BACIATO DALLA GRAZIA can be read and purchased here. SILVER SPOON is not, as yet, published but please contact Jonathan direct should you be interested in reading it. |
