'A fun play...wonderfully watchable' ROCO DRAMATIC SOCIETY THREE NIL DOWN AT HALF-TIME (2007) is a 25 minute one act play with 16 characters (10F, 4M, 2M/F) that tells the story of a girls’ football team who are on a long losing streak - until a half time bet leads to a change of management! It's been performed by various schools, youth theatres and community theatres all over the world.
AWARDS A Gaelic translation of the play won the All Ireland Gaelic Language Schools Drama Festival in Dublin in 2007 (where it premiered). It also won the NODA award for Best Youth Production at the 2013 Hunstanton Drama Festival. THREE NIL DOWN AT HALF-TIME is currently next due to be performed by a school in Australia in June 2026.
